How to obtain Mewtwo in Johto

Obtaining Mewtwo

To obtain Mewtwo, you must first capture or defeat Mew in Johto and defeat Giovanni in the past. Then place Mew in the first party slot and fill the remaining five slots with Psychic-type Pokémon.

Once you meet every requirement, return to the Team Rocket Hideout in Mahogany Town, where you first encountered Archer, to battle Mewtwo.
